Sexual assault in college campuses is a major issue across the country, although this has been an ongoing problems for years, a recent article in The New York Times describes the plans that President Obama has to try and prevent these assaults. The president focused majorly on trying to change the way that society and culture treat women. With the help of several celebrities they created a short video to try and encourage our generation to look more deeply into these problems and to push parents into teaching their children about this major issue. One major thing that caught my attention is the emphasis he made into encouraging parents to talk their sons about respecting woman and as he mentioned, "It is on grown men to set and example and be clear about what it means to be a man."
