Immigration in America

  Immigration has always been a big part of the United States. In fact, this is what our country was built on. But with more than 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S, some form of action had to be done in order to help out the people that left their whole life in their home countries just to get a glimpse of the "American Dream." Just last week, President Obama ordered an executive action that would help undocumented parents of natural born citizens to receive legal status that will allow them to work and report taxes. This is a huge opportunity for all the parents that struggled to make ends meet everyday just so that their kids could have a better future than they did.
 I think that what President Obama did is a huge sigh of relief for all the people that have tried so hard to survive in a country where they are seen as the enemy. Finally they'll be allowed to give back to the country that gave them shelter when they were trying to have a better life. They will be given permission to work legally and also qualify for certain benefits  like health care. Not only is the amnesty going to benefit around 5 million immigrants  but also is believed that it will help the U.S by all the taxes that will be paid.
 Overall, I think this is a great opportunity for many people that have been waiting years to be able to go out to work and not be afraid every day that they might not be able to come home. It will allow many children to be able to grow up with both of their parents and also to have a more stable future. This is a big step in the immigration issue we have in America and hopefully it won't be the last.

Blog Critique

 The start of this post is really good and intriguing. I completely agree that there should be more control in our gun regulations. The article is interesting but it could also use a lot of sources. The part where is talking about the amount of school shootings this year would have credibility if we could see a source. Also include what were Obama's plans to prevent gun violence. Including the most recent school shooting in your article was a good idea since it was something shown on national news and easy to make a connection to it but I feel that it focused only on that event and nothing else. By the middle of the article the point was kind of lost and it turned into a story about a school shooting and not so much about gun control. Also there's a lot of grammatical errors that makes it a bit hard to read. Other than that I started out okay but it could have used a couple of more sources and more explanation and focus of the  main point.
